Ordinance 6 of 1859, 6 of 1867 and 3 of 1873.
In these Ordinances the Colonial Legislature do not seem to have exercised the power of superseding by Schedule (A), regulations of which are indeed expressly saved by section 20 of the Ordinance of 1867.
On the other hand Section 19 of the Ordinance provides for the substitution of other forms in Schedules (B) and (C), and section 18 provides for bye-laws which may to some extent supersede the Act, and section 14 practically supersedes the sale of Medicines whenever a Chinese medical practitioner is in charge.
I have to request information on behalf of the Committee whether any bye-laws affecting the question have been made and whether the Governor in Council has practically repealed the schedules to this Act.
